Spring irrigation start up begins with a few simple steps to make things go smoothly. The winter months can take their toll on irrigation heads, valves and underground water lines, and through these months the pressures in the pipelines can change. So we always proceed cautiously!

Our technicians will start with a general inspection of your irrigation system. We will begin opening your irrigation by letting water fill only the mainline of your system at a reduced pressure rate. (The mainline runs between the irrigation source and the zones beyond it.) We will be careful to let the system fill slowly! After the mainline is filled, we’ll continue the same process with each zone following the mainline. When the water runs clear and free of air bubbles; the zone has been filled successfully. We will continue to run each zone for about 2 minutes, enabling any air to escape that has been trapped in the process. We will check for damaged or broken heads, correct spray patterns and ensure that your system is running at maximum efficiency. We will finish our visit by checking your preprogrammed water settings. Once those have been confirmed, your irrigation service is complete!
